LILY'S INTRODUCTION:
Hello! I'm Lily, and I am a fully registered and insured Veterinary Physiotherapist based in Macclesfield.

Having loved and owned animals from a young age, I developed a keen interest in animal health and wellbeing, leading me to undertake a 4 year BSc degree in Veterinary Physiotherapy. I graduated from Harper Adams University with a First Class Honours BSc (Hons) in Veterinary Physiotherapy (2017-2021).

Throughout my journey in becoming a Veterinary Physiotherapist, I have enjoyed various part time jobs, voluntary experiences and placements through which I gained much of my experience in animal handling, husbandry and management.

I worked many weekends at a daycare & boarding kennels where I enjoyed getting to know a huge variety of canine breeds and personalities!

In 2018 I spent 3 weeks volunteering for the Millenium Elephant Foundation, an NGO dedicated to improving the lives of elephants in Sri Lanka. Here, I was lucky enough to combine my love for travelling with my passion for improving animal welfare.

Basil, my beloved rescue rabbit (sadly now passed over Rainbow Bridge), became a firm member of the family until he was 13. I have become particularly passionate about rabbit welfare since owning Basil. Basil was lucky enough to receive regular physiotherapy sessions which helped keep him active and comfortable in his senior years.

In my spare time, I love getting out and about in the open countryside on a good hike - whether that be the Peak District, or further afield into the Welsh or Cumbrian Mountains! This always highlights to me just how important it is to keep your canine companion in tip-top shape - whether a plodder or mountaineer - our dogs live active lives and we must ensure they are fit and comfortable.
